About HRDS

Humanitarian Rural Development Society (HRDS) is a registered non-governmental, non-profit and non-sectarian organization. The organization was registered in the year 2012 with the objective to innovate social solutions against long standing problems through action research and creating impacts on lives and livelihoods of the less privileged sections of the society. The organization was established by young and energetic development professionals who believed in values of transparency, accountability and equality. The organization registered under Social Welfare voluntary Organization Act: 1961 with Directorate of Social Welfare / Community Development Department Government of Sindh, with registration no PCSW (1320)-S.

HRDS envision equitable, sustainable socio-economic and eco-friendly world.

HRDS's mission is innovate social solutions and building social institutions through modern techniques with participatory approach.

-Promote the culture of sustainable development.
-Build the capacity of the COs/VOs/LSOs to make them sustainable.
-Organize rural and urban communities (men and women) for undertaking sustainable development initiatives primarily on self help basis.
-Engage in advocacy and networking for addressing social issues of the society.
-Undertake participatory development programs for poverty alleviation and improvement of quality of life of the poor.
-Facilitate women participation in the development activities and promote their socio economic empowerment.
-Promote conservation of natural resources, take efforts for improving environment and facilitate health and education.
-Cooperate with national and international development organizations for poverty alleviation and sustainable development.
